Post every WordPress article to Bluesky and LinkedIn automatically

AmplifySignal connects to WordPress with an Application Password, the separate login WordPress creates for apps, so there is no plugin to install. Each article goes into WordPress as a scheduled post and WordPress publishes it at its time. A post written for each network follows: Bluesky about two hours later with a link card, LinkedIn the next morning.

How do I connect WordPress?

  1. In WordPress, open Users → Profile and scroll to Application Passwords.
  2. Type AmplifySignal as the name and choose Add New Application Password. Copy the password it shows; WordPress shows it once.
  3. In AmplifySignal, add your site, choose WordPress, and enter your site URL, your WordPress username and that password.

Application Passwords are built into WordPress since version 5.6 and need the site on HTTPS. If a security plugin turns them or the REST API off, allow them for the user you connect.

What happens when an article is scheduled?

The article goes into WordPress as a scheduled post with its publish time, and WordPress publishes it, the same way a post you schedule yourself does. You can see and change it in WordPress until then. Then the posts are queued for the networks you connected (Bluesky and LinkedIn), each timed after the article goes live.

Can I use posts I already published?

Yes. On the Remix page, paste the URL of a post you published and choose Social posts: one post per connected network, scheduled like any other. Remix is on the Standard and Growth plans.

What it doesn't do

  • It doesn't set categories, tags or a featured image in WordPress yet. Add them there if your theme uses them.
  • It doesn't edit posts you wrote in WordPress.
  • It needs the REST API reachable. A site that blocks it for everyone can't be connected.

Questions

Do you need my WordPress password?

No. An Application Password is separate from your login and you can revoke it on your profile page at any time.

Is there a plugin?

No. Application Passwords and the REST API are part of WordPress itself.

Can I review articles before they reach WordPress?

Yes. With review on, each draft waits for your approval; nothing reaches WordPress or any network until you approve it.
