Share every new blog article on LinkedIn automatically

Each new article becomes one LinkedIn post on your personal profile, written for LinkedIn: two to four short paragraphs with no hashtags, then the link, which LinkedIn turns into a preview. It goes out the morning after the article publishes, at 8:30 in your time zone, and at most three a week by default, because LinkedIn rewards fewer, better posts.

How do I connect LinkedIn?

On your site's Channels page choose LinkedIn and sign in with LinkedIn. You approve one permission, posting on your behalf, and that's it. LinkedIn's sign-in lasts about two months, after which you reconnect with the same button.

What does the post look like?

Two to four short paragraphs: a concrete observation from the article and what to do about it, no hashtags, then the link. LinkedIn fetches the preview card from the article page itself, so the title image and description you set on your blog are what people see. Posts are checked against LinkedIn's 3,000-character limit before they are queued.

When does it go out?

The next morning at 8:30 in your site's time zone. Until then it sits on the calendar, where you can edit, move or skip it. The weekly cap (three by default) applies across every site that posts to the same profile, so a portfolio of blogs can't crowd your feed. A post that already went out can be retracted, which deletes it from LinkedIn.

Where do the articles come from?

Your blog on Ghost, WordPress, or one we host on your own domain. Posts you already published can be turned into LinkedIn posts on the Remix page by pasting their URL.

What it doesn't do

  • Personal profiles only. Company pages need a LinkedIn partner program we aren't in.
  • Text and link only: no document carousels or videos yet.
  • X, Threads and Mastodon work by hand: we write the post for each, and at its time you get the copy and a link that opens the network's composer with it filled in. You press post.

Questions

Can it post to my company page?

Not yet. LinkedIn only opens company-page posting to partner apps; it posts to your personal profile.

Why only three a week?

It's a default, not a limit. Change it on the Channels page. LinkedIn tends to reward fewer posts, and the cap is per profile across all your sites.

Can I write the post myself?

Yes. Edit it on the calendar any time before it goes out.
